South Korea’s Posco Group, the world’s third-largest steel manufacturer, will build a hot-rolled steel plant at a cost of $4.5 billion in central Vietnam’s Khanh Hoa province.

Vietnam's Tan Tao Industrial Park Corp and London-listed Vietnam Infrastructure Limited fund will build a coal-fired power plant at a cost of up to US$800 million, executives of the fund said Tuesday.

Malaysia’s JRD Motor Industries Vietnam launched its first automobiles in the Ho Chi Minh City earlier this week

The cars are assembled at a facility in Central Vietnam’s Phu Yen province.

The nine new autos include the seven-seat JRD SUV Daily II, five-seat  JRD Travel, the JRD Daily pickup, and JRD Storm light truck.

They are available for sale 20 JRD agents across Vietnam for US$4,800 to $19,000, including value-added tax.
